2.10 - How to write a good product sheet
The product data sheet is not to be taken lightly, since it plays a decisive role for the consumer: it can very quickly make or break a purchasing decision. It would be a shame to lose potential orders customers so close to the goal, wouldn't it? We advise you to apply a few good gestures in order to turn these curious visitors into enthusiastic customers...
- Fill in the form with as much useful information as possible
✍️ The more information you provide, the more trustworthy you are! However, remember to prioritize the information you provide according to its interest for the consumer. By the way, you may have noticed that we automatically include a size guide in the product sheets of the garments in our catalog: particularly useful for the customer, it's a must-have.
- Choose quality visuals
📷 Realistic, high-quality mock-ups, in-house photos or even (downright) photoshoot with a professional thanks to a sample order, you have several possibilities for adorning your product sheet with visuals that really show off your product.
- Make storytelling your ally
📖 Instead of providing a literal, factual description of your product, don't hesitate to romanticize it, contextualize it, sell your customers on the transformations it could bring to their lives rather than just the product itself.
- Refine your title
📄 The importance of your headline is MAJOR, especially since it's often the one that prompts the click - just like the visual. Keep it short (no more than 7 words, if possible) and prioritize your information according to importance. In general, headlines take this form:
"Name of the range or specific proper name assigned to the product - product name, color, composition, size".
- Talk to the human as well as the search engine
🎯 As you know, search engine optimization (SEO) is key to increasing the visibility of your store. So don't forget to include keywords related to your niche in your description, without going off into unreadable robotic paragraphs for your customers.
It's official: you've got the key to a successful product sheet! Now it's your turn.
