4.11 - How to optimize visuals for printing

To ensure that you end up with a finished product that lives up to your expectations (and even better!), we recommend that you follow these simple guidelines:
- Choose the .png format: it barely compresses your visuals and handles transparency very well.
- Work with your file in CMYK color mode. Even if this mode is automatically changed to RGB when you export your visual as a .png file, you'll have the great advantage of being able to preview colors after printing.
- Please send us a visual with a transparent background, without color uniformity (unless you want it to appear on the finished product).
- Export your visual at a resolution of 150 dpi minimum.
- For a garment, expect a file size of around 30x40cm. The print area will vary, but this should be about right!
- Avoid colors fluorescents: they cannot be printed because they are not part of the spectrum of printable shades.
