3.2 - Choosing the right products to sell in your store

The choice of products you want to sell in your store is totally up to you! That's the beauty of freedom. However, you should be aware that offering as many different products as possible doesn't necessarily work in a brand's favor: it can quickly give an impression of clutter. To choose the items for your future catalog, you can use a number of criteria, including...

Your niche

This word is used to designate your market segment; it has nothing to do with your dog. Your niche has to be taken into account on many levels, not least in your choice of products: for example, if you're more into street-wear, offering your customers a cushion or a bib might seem a bit far-fetched. Sweatshirts and stickers, on the other hand, are the ideal choice.

The margin

Depending on the products and their initial prices, the margin you can benefit from will undeniably vary. Some of our premium products can give you very good margins. Your margin on a mug will undoubtedly be lower. By effectively combining low-margin and high-margin products, you'll be able to reach most budgets: it's a good strategy for optimizing sales.

The printable surface you need

The printable surface varies greatly depending on the product. A mug is not the same as a sweatshirt or tote-bag! The line thickness of your visuals and their levels of detail vary, and some visuals will need a large surface area to be sublimated.
